Your wedding stationery is the first thing that your guests see for your wedding day so it is lovely here to give them a little taste of what is to come! Now where to begin...
To me this is such an exciting part of the planning process and I am here to make it easy, fun and exciting for you too!
Firstly, we chat by phone or through email and I get a feel for what you are after for your big day. If, at this stage, you haven't a clue yet, I can send you a small brief which include a few questions and that is a great starting point.
Knowing that you love the design at this stage, I get everything into production and bring your initial ideas to life and deliver your first introduction to your guests for your wedding day to your door!
It is always good to order too early than leaving your stationery tight for time so ideally order between 6 - 8 months before your wedding day.
From initial briefing to delivering to your door I would give anything between 4- 5 weeks which gives time for tweaking designs and making edits, production and delivery.
If you are travelling to be married and your guests will be travelling to, couples tend to send a Save The Date or formal invitation anything from 9 months to 1 year before the wedding day. I would suggest a save the date at this early stage and follow with a formal invitation closer to the time (between 3 - 5 months).
With this situation, usually only some of the guests will be travelling from abroad so you have the option to just send those people a save the date. You have the option of a e-vite here too which would be your desired design to work with your stationery but you could easily email rather than post. Again this can be anything from 9 months to 1 year in advance and formal invite closer to the time (between 3 - 5 months).
On average couples send out their invites about 2 months before the wedding but more and more send them between 3 - 5 months before. This can come down to preference and when your venue would need your final numbers.
